AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer (Hybrid) to be based in Houston, TX.

You will be joining of a global team of 500+ maritime specialists who support on a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes.
• Civil design for terminals across the United States.
• Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil engineering design
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in TX

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science (with civil engineering concentration)
• Ten (10) years or more of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Proficient in CAD and design software.
• Experience Civil Engineering Plans, Specifications and Estimate development 
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in the civil engineering design of marine terminals
• ACAD/C3D/Microstation/OpenRoads
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrable interest in developing a career in Ports & Marine Engineering
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
