Via has partnered with 100+ cities and public transit agencies around the world to deploy our mobility technology. As a City Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple services in Berlin (e.g. WirMobil, BVG Muva) using our innovative technology platform. You’ll manage daily operations while driving continuous improvement and growth of our services.
Please note this role is internally referred to as Field Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure operational excellence and an incredible customer experience
- Oversee our daily operations in Berlin, acting as the contact person for our driving personnel and our partners
- Analyze, interpret metrics/KPIs in order to identify possible inefficiencies and apply analysis to optimize operations.
- Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions to solve problems as they arise
- Respond to driver feedback and live customer issues
- Work collaboratively with a broad interdisciplinary team to scale operational processes, systems, and tools to drive rapid growth
Who You Are:
- Team-focused: You enjoy working in a team and have experience in taking responsibility for employees
- A self-starter: you take ownership of your work, are comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility, and able to adapt as conditions change
- Data-driven: you use metrics to make decisions and set priorities
- Empathetic and calm: you remain calm under stress and always find the right tone, whether in discussions with the management level of our partners or our drivers
- Hands-on and motivated: Willing to contribute on projects of all types. Experienced in managing projects with multiple stakeholders or locations is a plus
- Your German language skills are at least C1 level (fluent) and your English is at an advanced level
- A valid driver’s license in Germany, class B is desirable (but not a must-have)

- Salary Range: €40,000 - 60,000 per year. Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
