At Splend, we're on a mission to fundamentally change the way people own and operate a vehicle. With a strategic focus on rideshare, we provide our customers with straightforward, no-strings-attached access to vehicle ownership. But we aren't just about vehicle ownership. We're also fast-tracking the transition to green mobility, leading the way globally in reducing the carbon footprint of the transportation sector by transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles.
- You want a hands-on role growing Splend's presence in Adelaide - including selling to and onboarding new customers, not just overseeing the numbers.
- You thrive leading a small, close-knit team.
- You thrive juggling multiple priorities at once, without losing sight of the details that keep a state running smoothly.
As City Manager, you'll run the day-to-day operations of Splend's Hub in Adelaide, and you'll be hands-on in driving new business yourself, not just managing a team that does. You will lead a small team including a Vehicle Logistics Specialist and a Product Expert. You'll manage the fleet, oversee the full customer journey (from onboarding through to exchanges and terminations), and keep vehicles moving and effectively utilised across the state. This role has a direct impact on the growth of our South Australian Hub, developing your team and creating an environment where they can do their best work.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and develop a team including a Product Expert and Vehicle Logistics Specialists. Leading monthly 1:1s, coaching and on-the-job mentoring
- Personally drive new customer acquisition - actively prospecting, pitching and converting new drivers to Splend, in addition to growing local revenue performance and data integrity for South Australia
- Overseeing the lifecycle of our customers including on boarding, car inspections, exchanges, and terminations
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly reporting of the state’s Operation. Including, commentary around key metrics, action items and strategic initiatives
- Manage vehicle deliveries and logistics across South Australia, ensuring damage is identified and appropriately charged
- Maintain and maximise fleet utilisation in line with national Fleet team standards, minimising vehicle time off road at repairers
- Manage escalations
What you'll bring to Splend
- Proven hands-on sales experience, with a track record of hitting or exceeding personal targets — this role requires you to sell, not just manage those who do
- Prior experience managing an operational team in a B2C retail environment
- Fleet management experience with a keen eye for data analytics
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment
- A working knowledge of the on-demand economy and specifically Uber (preferred)
