Cisco Networking Lead Engineer (Infrastructure)

Job Summary

The role is for highly skilled Network Engineer with datacenter implementation experience. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience with network design, planning, implementation, and troubleshooting, specifically focused on Cisco/Palo Alto and Fortinet network devices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and coordinate between teams, engineers, leadership, and regulatory compliance teams to facilitate technology requirements, which includes holding meetings and collecting evidence.
  • Track, analyze, and manage remediation plans for network vulnerabilities. Work with information protection teams to monitor accurate scans, report vulnerabilities, and create closure for security findings.
  • Provide periodic performance reports for review with management, offering input on improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Document and design network subnets, firewall rules, and load balancing based on application requirements.
  • Stage, deploy, and test configurations.
  • Resolve issues and escalate to DC network team management when necessary.
  • Implement new network-related equipment.
  • Datacenter design, planning, and documentation, while adhering to maintenance windows and change control procedures.
  • Work with Cigna change management in SNOW and divestiture market change management requirements.
  • Manage the tracking and remediation of network-related items in the risk registry; add new risk items as needed. Perform quarterly reviews with other technical teams.
  • Flexible working hours are required to support multiple regions with shift work needed to accommodate the EMEA time zone. The role also requires working from the office twice a week, following the work from office schedule.

Scope and Dimensions

  • Comfortable negotiating and presenting to IT and business executives.
  • Capable of driving alignment across the technology organization.
  • Comfortable presenting and dealing with internal/external customers and third parties.

Technical Skills Required

  • Experience with design, implementation, and migration projects.
  • Analytical Network Engineering skill sets.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise networks.
  • Cisco Routing and Switching Engineering/Support
  • Palo Alto/Fortinet (NGFW) Engineering/Support
  • F5 LTM & GTM
