Position Summary

The Cisco Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Bingham Healthcare's enterprise network infrastructure.

This position ensures the availability, security, reliability, and performance of wired and wireless networks supporting critical healthcare applications and services. The Network Administrator works closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, server, and application teams to maintain a highly available and secure technology environment.

What You'll DoNetwork Administration & Infrastructure

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points
• Support enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN environments
• Configure and maintain VLANs, routing protocols, and switching technologies
• Perform firmware updates, equipment replacements, and infrastructure upgrades
• Monitor network performance and availability to ensure optimal operation

Security & Cybersecurity

• Administer Cisco Firepower security solutions and network security controls
• Configure ACLs, VPNs, network segmentation, and port security policies
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and security threats
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, compliance efforts, and security best practices
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Wireless & Connectivity

• Deploy and maintain enterprise wireless infrastructure
• Configure wireless controllers and access points
• Optimize coverage, performance, and user experience
• Troubleshoot connectivity and roaming issues

Troubleshooting & Project Support

• Diagnose and resolve network outages and performance issues
• Perform packet captures, traffic analysis, and root cause investigations
• Collaborate with server, security, and application teams on complex issues
• Participate in infrastructure projects, technology refreshes, and expansion initiatives
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of enterprise network administration experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment preferred
• Experience supporting multi-site environments preferred
