As a Cisco Meraki Network Engineer, you will:
- Act as an L3 escalation point for complex network and security incidents involving Meraki MX, MS, and MR.
- Manage and troubleshoot Meraki SD-WAN, switching, wireless, VPN, firewall, and security environments.
- Design and implement scalable network architectures, including HA, VLAN segmentation, IP addressing, and zero-touch provisioning.
- Configure and optimize SD-WAN connectivity, including MPLS, broadband, and LTE integrations.
- Perform deep packet analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) for P1/P2 incidents.
- Configure and maintain IDS/IPS, content filtering, AMP, NAT, and Layer 7 firewall policies.
- Monitor network performance and support proactive alerting, automation, and capacity reporting.
- Maintain network documentation, SOPs, RCA reports, and operational runbooks while following ITIL processes.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Application teams, Cisco TAC, and ISPs, and mentor L1/L2 engineers.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 6–8 years of overall professional experience in network engineering, with strong L3 support experience.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR.
- Strong knowledge of Meraki Dashboard, SD-WAN, VPN, switching, and wireless networking.
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, static routing, VLANs, STP, trunking, and IP addressing.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall, NAT, and network security.
- Experience with IPsec, Client VPN, IDS/IPS, content filtering, and Layer 7 security policies.
- Experience with Wireshark/tcpdump and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Meraki APIs.
You Should Possess the Ability To:
- Diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues independently.
- Perform packet analysis and identify the root cause of network performance and connectivity problems.
- Design and optimize Meraki SD-WAN and enterprise network architectures.
- Handle critical P1/P2 incidents and lead technical resolution bridges.
- Implement network security controls and recommend remediation for identified vulnerabilities.
- Automate network administration tasks using APIs and scripting where appropriate.
