Role Description: CIB Operations: Internal Communications Senior Associate
We’re looking for a strong communicator, writer and collaborator to join JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) communications team supporting Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) organization. Digital & Platform Services accelerates transformation within Commercial & Investment Bank by uniting Technology, Operations, Digital Innovation, AI, and Data teams to create future-ready products and platforms.
As an Internal Communications Senior Associate, you will support CIB’s Operations, providing strategic guidance on communications plans and execution, executive storytelling and narrative development, employee engagement and recognition as well as support for key initiatives. You will be integrally involved in the execution and measurement of all channels and tactics including in-person town halls, site-visits, and offsites and multichannel content in the form of newsletters, email and digital media.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive messaging, including talking points, briefs, org announcements, change management updates, business strategy & performance updates, etc
- Editorials development, source, write and publish stories highlighting business achievements and recognizing the people behind them
- Planning and execution of executive employee engagement events including site visits, offsites, all hands calls, town halls, roundtables and fireside chats
- Telling and amplifying Operations stories via diverse channels including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, corporate intranet, video and live events as well as in coordination with Press and Marketing for external stakeholders
- Develop first drafts, edit, secure approvals, and disseminate a variety of communications materials for appropriate channels – including executive messages, organization announcements, event invitations, announcements, newsletters, articles/stories, videos, digital signage, etc.
- Lead on logistics support and assist with decks / talking points / briefings and other materials for internal events, such as town halls, All-Hands, site visits, panels/discussions, etc.
- Support intranet management; oversee look, feel and navigation, and advise on content strategy
- Performance measurement of all internal tactics, such as open-rates, event survey results and article clicks, to help guide strategy and approach
Qualifications and skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate or internal communications, with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, communications, journalism, or related fields.
- Strategic communications: Ability to develop and implement cohesive and effective communication strategies that resonate with key audiences. Excellent writing and editing abilities and verbal communications skills.
- Storytelling expertise: Passion for storytelling, simplifying complex topics, and driving narratives that support business goals.
- Creativity: Desire to bring creativity and new ideas to communications projects and tactics.
- Project management: Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy and quality in all communications.
- Problem solving: Analytical and strategic mindset for addressing challenges and finding solutions.
