About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Lending Operations Middle Office Specialist to join our Credit Services group as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Lending Operations (CIBLO).
This hire will partner with internal relationship teams and external customers to facilitate letters of credit for Corporate and Investment Banking clients. You will support the onboarding and coordination of each transaction, helping ensure products are delivered accurately and on time while adhering to internal credit and compliance procedures, meeting customer needs, and mitigating operational and credit risk.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a critical intermediary between the front office and back office during the lending origination and trading process
- Participate in low- to moderately complex initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities within Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations in middle office function
- Execute credit requests and data input across loan and operating exposure products; onboard and setup client and legal entity systems, document review and checklist completion, coordinate booking, funding, and collateral requirements
- Review credit approvals and legal documentation to support system setup; complete regulatory and compliance steps (e.g., screenings, KYC confirmation),
- Partner with loan operations to support closing and funding; identify issues and escalate exceptions as appropriate
- Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments requiring research and evaluation of alternatives
- Present recommendations to resolve low- to moderately complex situations
- Exercise independent judgment to support medium-risk deliverables
- Apply growing expertise in functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
- 4+ years of Corporate or Commercial Banking credit/loan operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Experience reading, reviewing, and interpreting credit agreements to identify key terms, conditions, and operational requirements
- Knowledge of credit systems of record and tools such as AFS, LIQ, nCino, TradeWorks, CoRS, Documentum, ICMP, and Cornerstone
- Knowledge of booking and closing processes
- Understanding of the credit underwriting and customer due diligence process
- Ability to working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compete high-quality work product
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
