The Marcus Graham Project (MGP), a network of diverse advertising, media, marketing & entertainment  professionals in collaboration with the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) are looking for dynamic groups of the Divine 9 initiates to compete in the Battle of the Brands: CIAA D9 Creative Challenge Workshop

The workshop's primary purpose is to provide diverse aspirants with the exposure, experience and access necessary to further their career interest within the advertising, media & marketing industry. Workshop teams will receive first hand knowledge from some of today’s premier professionals in the industry of Social Media & Content Marketing.

One team will be selected to represent each of the D9 organizations (9 total). During our virtual workshop teams will be briefed on a specific assignment focused on one of the CIAA Conference Activations and will be responsible for putting together a multi platform social media campaign. Each team will bring their campaign to life and publish over social media where the target audience will decide the winner

*One standout organization will be selected by the MGP and CIAA team as Winner of the Battle of the Brands and receive the VIP package during the Conference Championship, Scholarship Prizes and Bragging Rites! In addition there will be multiple opportunities for participants to network with CIAA staff and partnering brands hiring mentors.

Team Criteria

  • Must be a member of one of the Divine 9 organizations (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Phi Beta Sigma., Fraternity Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.)
  • A least 2 members of each team must be students or alumni of a CIAA school
  • Willing to participate in ALL phases of the workshop
