Xenith Solutions is seeking a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer with agile methodology experience to join our team in support of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) contract in Northern VA (Ashburn, VA area / remote). As a member of the team, you will support our prime contractor’s Agile Solution Factory (ASF), which is a passionate team of industry-leading personnel supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. You should have worked with or have a strong interest in Agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints.
What You’ll Get to Do
- Work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, a highly productive team of technical professionals who thrive on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives
- Deploy, and maintain the DevOps infrastructure for mission critical applications taking into consideration scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software systems
- Work in close collaboration with other architects, technical leads, software developers and testers, and stakeholders within Agile processes to continue the automation of the software build, configurations, and deployment processes.
- Install, configure and maintain all tools needed to accomplish the following DevOps functions: source control management, continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, repository management, provisioning, release management, logging, building, testing, containerization, collaboration and security.
- Continue development and maintenance of the automated software build process using tools such as, but not limited to, Docker, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and specific AWS technologies.
- Assist with creating project resource estimates, metrics to track completion phase, defect reports, defect prevention, development efficiency and quality
- Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization’s agile project lifecycle
- May need to work off hours for support and deployments if necessary.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to:
- 3-year check for felony convictions
- 1-year check for illegal drug use
- 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
- College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree plus 5 + years related experience
- Prior experience with continuous integration (Bamboo, Jenkins), Weblogic, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway and GitLab
- Ability to design and document technical solutions related to continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Administration, configuration and maintenance of the application stack (Spring Boot, Database, K8S cluster, etc.)
- Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and a self-starter
- Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Exposure to certificate management for issuing, renewing, and deploying certificates to endpoints
Skills Required
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass the CBP background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline
- Five or more years of related experience may substitute for the degree
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins
- Experience with WebLogic, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and GitLab
- Ability to design and document technical solutions for continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Experience administering, configuring, and maintaining application stacks, including Spring Boot, databases, and Kubernetes clusters
- Proficiency automating and optimizing processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Exposure to certificate management, including issuing, renewing, and deploying certificates to endpoints
