Chrysler Journeyman Technician

Berman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for a Journeyman Level Technician! 

Location: Oak Lawn, IL
Schedule: Full Time (5 days week)
Pay Scale: $38-$45/HR (BOE, ASE Certs and/or Training)

We will provide paid training and Stellantis certifications, but you must have all ASE Certifications.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform accurate and timely vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and identify vehicle issues
• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs 
• Document all repair and maintenance work performed, including parts used and labor time
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and estimated completion times
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous training and development
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• Must have all ASE Certifications
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (min 3 years) 
• Must be willing to submit a background screening
