Chopper Gun Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chopper Gun Operator is responsible for the proper chop thickness and glass-to-resin ration on decks and small parts. The gun operator is also responsible for ensuring the quality of the finished part and providing leadership for the crew.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Distributes properly catalyzed resin evenly over the gel coated mold surface.

• Performs training with new team members as well as helping all team members stay focused and motivated.

• Observes and adjusts the catalyst level as environmental conditions require.

• Keeps work are safe, clean, and hazard free.

• Monitors housekeeping of crew members and general condition of assigned work area.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.

• Perform the ability to distinguish shades of color

• Must have depth perception

• Must have coordination simultaneously
