Childcare Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in overseeing the educational activities within the childcare classroom.

2. Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field.

3. Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents.

4. Work cooperatively in a team atmosphere.

5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

6. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

7. Understand. Create. Simplify.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Current student studying Early Childhood Education or related field

Eighteen years of age or older

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Background check results satisfactory to DEL

Negative Mantoux TB test result(s)

Ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL

Valid Driver's License

Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Background check results satisfactory to SEL

Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years documented early childhood development education
Foreign Language Skills
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50lbs frequently
Sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours

Pay Range Data

($16.30 - $17.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
