About us

Thesis is building the AI-powered care team platform for infinitely scalable clinical capacity. We radically increase access and improve quality of care by combining AI agents with clinical experts to take on high-impact clinical operations and care management activities for healthcare organizations.

We’re based in NYC, are growing rapidly, and are backed by $60 million in funding from Oak HC/FT, CRV, Black Opal Ventures, and experienced C-level healthtech angel investors.

About the role

We are looking for a driven, high-agency Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to Thesis’s CEO and leadership team. This is a broad-scope role at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution. You’ll serve as a force multiplier for the leadership team as we scale and drive critical cross-functional initiatives spanning go-to-market, product, operations, and strategy. This role is designed for someone with a rigorous analytical foundation from top-tier consulting, venture / PE investing, or a high-growth startup who is ready to go deep on the operating side and own outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic initiatives end-to-end: Own the highest-priority cross-functional projects from scoping and analysis through execution and follow-through. These will span commercial and go-to-market strategy, product planning, client deployments, operational buildouts, and other critical special projects based on company needs.
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team: Serve as a trusted thought partner on company priorities, strategic decisions, and emerging challenges. Help frame problems, pressure-test ideas, and bring structure and clarity to complex, ambiguous situations.
  • Strengthen operational infrastructure: Identify gaps in processes, systems, and workflows across the organization and drive improvements that enable the business to scale.
  • Accelerate go-to-market: Support sales operations, build client-facing materials, develop positioning frameworks, and help close strategic accounts alongside the leadership team.

We expect you to have:

  • Rigorous professional foundation: 4+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, in venture capital or private equity investing, or in a high-impact operating role at an early-stage startup.
  • Bias toward action and ownership: You thrive in ambiguity, take initiative without being asked, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills: You bring a hypothesis-driven approach to key challenges, identify root causes, and translate complexity into clear, actionable paths forward.
  • Sharp analytical toolkit: Strong command of Excel and data analysis. You build models, define KPIs, and synthesize complex information into crisp recommendations. SQL or BI tool experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication: You write clearly, present persuasively, and can tailor your message to audiences ranging from engineers to investors to clinical stakeholders.
  • Healthcare interest: Prior healthcare or healthtech experience is a strong plus but not required. What matters is genuine interest in the space and a willingness to learn quickly.

Target compensation for this role is $175–$200k+, plus equity and a generous benefits package.

Thesis Care is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Skills Required

  • 4+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, venture capital or private equity, or early-stage startup
  • Strong command of Excel and data analysis
  • Experience in SQL or BI tools (a plus)
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Genuine interest in healthcare or healthtech
