Role OverviewThe Chief of Staff at Orbital acts as a force-multiplier for the executive team, driving high-impact initiatives and ensuring the company operates with clarity, speed and alignment. This role leads cross-functional strategic projects end-to-end, shaping execution plans and ensuring results.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Project Execution
Lead and execute high-priority strategic initiatives across Orbital, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and successful outcomes.
Project Planning & Decision-Making
Support strategic planning, business modeling and scenario design to inform executive decisions.
Incubate and lead new initiatives from ideation through execution.
Conduct research and synthesize data into concise recommendations to support fast, high-quality decision-making.
Executive Support & Prioritisation
Partner closely with C-suite leaders to help define, align, and manage priorities across the organization.
Ensure effective information flow, preparing briefs, meeting materials and structured insights that enable the executive team to operate efficiently.
Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
Support the development of strategic partnerships and business development opportunities from first meeting through contracting.
Represent Orbital in customer, partner and external engagements
Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating closely with senior executives.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills; proficient in financial modeling, strategic planning, and preparing board-level materials.
Strong ability to influence without formal authority and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.
Demonstrated operational rigor, including process analysis, issue diagnosis, and development of actionable plans.
Bias for action and execution; thrives in fast-paced environments and manages multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
