About your team

This role reports into the Head of Asia Pacific ex Japan.

The region employs around 2,000 staff with operations in 7 jurisdictions: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and Mainland China. The regional management hub is located in Hong Kong.

About your role
This role will be responsible for supporting the Head of the APAC ex Japan Region in operating the region.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operating and governance processes and procedures involved in driving the ongoing management of the APAC ex Japan region including the cadence of leadership meetings, planning meetings, townhalls and other forums. This will entail the formulation of agendas, plans, schedule and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure that relevant reports and data are available to measure progress and support business decision making, working with all of the functions and departments across the APAC ex Japan region.
  • Ensure that business initiatives are being effectively prioritised and managed working closely with the Asia Pacific  Distribution teams, Business Managers, Finance, Product, Marketing, Communication, HR and in partnership with IM, Client Propositions, Operations & Technology teams.
  • Contribute to the definition of the business objectives and distribution strategy of the region, working with the regional and country/market leaders.

About you

  • Relevant working experience within Asset Management in Asia Pacific - experience working directly with distribution and/or client-facing teams is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Business Management, Project Management, Business Coordination, Business Analysis or Strategy Development.
  • Experience preparing presentations & communications for senior management and/or clients and familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint required. Advanced AI tool and Excel usage a plus.
  • Reactive, resilient, energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Able to work independently and cope with sustained pressure.
  • Attention to detail and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed.
  • Well-developed relationship management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English. Ability to competently operate in other languages, most notably in Mandarin Chinese, would be highly advantageous.
