About the Role
We're looking for a highly strategic, organized, and resourceful Chief of Staff to serve as a trusted advisor to our CEO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is excited by the challenge of building and scaling alongside the founder of Closinglock. You'll play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives forward, improving internal operations, and keeping the executive team focused on the highest-impact work.
What You'll Do
- Act as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to the CEO
- Help drive the execution of company priorities, ensuring alignment and accountability across teams
- Lead and manage key cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Own internal planning processes (OKRs, quarterly planning, leadership offsites, board prep, etc.)
- Improve visibility and communication across departments by streamlining processes and removing roadblocks
- Proactively identify areas of operational inefficiency and develop scalable solutions
- Prepare presentations, reports, and analysis for board meetings, investor updates, and strategic decision-making
- Support hiring, onboarding, and organizational planning at the leadership level
- Operate with a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgment
Who You Are
- 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (startups, consulting, VC/PE-backed companies, or similar)
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple work streams at one time
- Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-you're just as comfortable in the boardroom as you are in the weeds
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity
This is a full-time, in-person position in our Austin, TX office.
