SoundCloud is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as a close collaborator to our executive team and act as the right hand to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the Chief of Staff, you will be the driving force behind the CEO’s most critical priorities, working hand-in-hand to shape the future of our organization. 

This role is the heartbeat of the executive team, keeping everything connected and running smoothly, ensuring that everyone moves in unison towards our shared vision and strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the anchor that holds the executive team together, keeping everyone on track and moving toward shared goals.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives for the CEO and leadership team that support company priorities to achieve the highest operational efficiency and success.
  • Anticipate organizational needs, proactively resolve problems, and help address issues as they arise.   
  • Partner with multiple teams across the business and ensure alignment across global teams on goals, plans, and deliverables.
  • Manage and drive multiple complex large cross-functional projects that don’t fall into functional leadership roles.
  • Develop a deep understanding of key metrics/financials that measure the company/organization’s success and ensure effective reporting and escalation to CEO.
  • Be an influencer to leadership, synthesizing information and optimizing communication to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Lead the preparation process for Board materials and monthly updates; support CEO in investor relations and partnership efforts. 
  • Ability to create & maintain relationships with ease across the organization and ensure the flow of information between the CEO and teams at large.


Experience and Background:

  • Exceptional partnership with C-level executives. 
  • Experience with strategic planning, product planning, organizational planning, and operational follow-through.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines and rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, integrity and professionalism.  
  • Data-driven with a bias towards taking action to improve key metrics.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills - you can develop and deliver engaging presentations, and run efficient and productive meetings.
  • Capable of managing stakeholder relationships across multiple functions internally and externally.
  • No project should be too small, nor any problem too big to work through; you embrace challenges head on.
  • 10+ years of total professional experience; background in investment banking, management consulting, operations, strategy and/or product management. 
  • Experience at a growing consumer internet, entertainment or tech company preferred.
  • MBA preferred, but not required. 
  • Experience working in music tech and/or SaaS companies preferred. 
  • Based in the New York Metropolitan Tri-State Area.
  • Flexibility to travel with the CEO as necessary.

The salary range for this role is $220,000- $240,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
