Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Chief of Staff to support our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication skills and a keen ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve as the right-hand person and an 'extension' of the executive management, managing internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic insights, and taking ownership of unresolved problems.
- Support the leadership in corporate operational matters, including strategic planning, daily operational tasks, and internal process optimization, primarily focusing on legal & finance.
- Thrive in uncertain conditions and finding your own path - within the executive management’s priorities, take on and create projects that will impact the organization.
- Develop and implement operating mechanisms to drive alignment, accountability, and coordination across teams.
- Set agendas and drive follow-ups arising from executive meetings.
- Execute on strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation.
- Generate new ideas for solutions, proactively identify opportunities and remove roadblocks to address.
- Evaluate risk factors in critical business decision-making processes.
- Develop and operationalize repeatable, systematized processes, work with teams to improve our best practices, create leaner and faster workflows, and identify patterns/trends.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing strategic guidance and operational support.
- Develop board updates, pitch decks, and various communications for the executive management.
- Analyze data to generate valuable, metric-based insights, including customer-related information.
Qualifications
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Executive presence and strong communication: You will be constantly interacting with senior leaders. You have previously worked with CEOs, founders, and senior/executive leadership teams, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership: You have a history of leading meetings and driving toward outcomes. You lead in an effective and efficient way. You work well with limited guidance and support.
- The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience, with 3-5 years directly relevant to this role.
- Highly meticulous personality.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
- You are humble enough to work behind the scenes. A lot of the job to be done will fall in the category of “somebody has to do it, and I’m somebody.”
- Thinks and acts like a CEO. Able to dive into many roles and do them well.
- Solutions-focused with a huge sense of urgency: You are biased towards actions, drive toward solutions first, as opposed to pointing out the problems and/or relying on others, and you operate with a huge sense of urgency.
- Extremely organized - You are known for creating order out of chaos, you consistently look ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.
- Data driven: you are skilled with reviewing and summarizing research and data sets quickly to present data-driven perspectives.
