The Technical Program Manager with our SOC team will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development of multiple chiplets for RISC-V CPU server, machine learning processors, as well as supporting chiplets for memory and IO functionality. This role requires experience in SoC architecture, design, verification and integration from inception through to tape out, along with strong program management skills to successfully drive these complex projects.
This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage and track program progress (including both internal and external contributors), identifying risks and issues.
- Communicate program status, updates, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting the unique considerations and complexities associated with chiplet and SOC development
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting effective communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing .
- Conduct regular program reviews, evaluating performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in SOC chip design preferably in a program management or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of chip design process from microarchitecture, design, verification, DFT, physical design processes, and tapeout
- Familiarity with industry standards, such as AMBA, NOC, RISC-V, PCIe/CXL, Ethernet and others
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while accounting for the unique complexities of CPU server and machine learning chip development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration among design, verification, physical-design, DFT, and software teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in addressing challenges specific to CPU server and machine learning chip development.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
