WHO WE ARE
At Trustly, we're building a smarter, faster, and more secure financial future by revolutionizing the world of payments. As a global leader in Open Banking Payments, we are establishing Pay by Bank as the new standard at checkout, providing unparalleled freedom, speed, and ease to millions of consumers and merchants worldwide.

Our Ambition: To build the world's most disruptive payment network and redefine what the payment experience should feel like.

Trustly is a global team of innovators, collaborators, and doers. If you are driven by a strong sense of purpose and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment, join us and be part of a team that's transforming the way the world pays.

ABOUT THE ROLE CONTEXT
This role is shared across Trustly's Product and Technology organizations — sitting at the center of our most ambitious hiring and transformation initiative. As Trustly scales new hires across P&T in H2 2026 and builds an AI-native organization, this person will be the operational backbone that makes it all work: You'll be a driver of change management across the organization — keeping leadership aligned, decisions moving, and programs on track as priorities evolve and the business scales.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Chief of Staff & Head of PMO, you will be the connective tissue across Trustly's Product and Technology leadership. You'll drive operational excellence, manage the most critical cross-functional programs, and ensure that Trustly's P&T leadership team is well-coordinated and focused on what matters most. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for an exceptionally organized and commercially sharp operator who can move between strategic planning and execution without missing a beat.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Serve as Chief of Staff to Trustly's P&T leadership — managing the leadership operating cadence, preparing executive materials, driving follow-through on key decisions, and acting as a force multiplier for senior leaders.
  • Own Trustly's P&T PMO — establishing and running the program management frameworks, tooling, and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into the status, risks, and dependencies of major initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional program management for Trustly's H2 2026 hiring and team-building initiative — coordinating across Recruiting, Finance, and P&T leaders to keep the program on track.
  • Identify and drive resolution of organizational blockers — acting as a trusted intermediary who can surface issues, facilitate decisions, and align stakeholders across teams and time zones.
  • Own P&T planning cycles — headcount planning, OKR tracking, budget coordination, and the quarterly business review process.
  • Partner with the CEO, CTO, and CPO on strategic initiatives, board prep, and special projects as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or chief of staff roles at a fast-growing technology company; fintech or payments experience a strong plus.
  • Exceptionally organized — you run tight operating rhythms, produce crisp materials, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks in a fast-moving, complex organization.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinker — comfortable synthesizing complex inputs into clear recommendations and navigating ambiguity without needing a perfect playbook.
  • High EQ and excellent interpersonal skills — you build trust quickly with senior leaders and across teams, and you know how to influence without authority.
  • Fluent in program and project management methodologies and tooling (experience with Jira, Linear, or equivalent); able to build lightweight PMO structures that add value without adding bureaucracy.
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a global organization across time zones; based in New York with ability to travel as needed.

Applications for this role are accepted on an ongoing basis.

What We Do

At Trustly, we envision a world in which online payments are fast, simple and secure for everyone — merchants, consumers and banks alike. One hundred years ago, cash was king. People got paid in cash, carried it in their wallets, and bought things with it at the local store. Payment was easy. Oh, how the times have changed. Today, our salaries are deposited straight into our bank accounts and we shop online, from merchants all around the world. So why is it so hard to pay straight from our bank accounts? For consumers, paying online should be as easy as sliding a bill across the counter. And accepting payments and issuing refunds should be the least of merchants’ worries. Credit cards, debit cards, e-wallets, invoices and cash-on-delivery are all middlemen levying fees, debt and interest for the simple task of moving money from one person to another. At Trustly, we work hard to make online payments easy.

Why Work With Us

At Trustly, we work hard to make online payments easy. We’re dynamic, not stuffy. We’ve got the drive and ambition of a startup and the experience and advantage of a scale-up, all wrapped up in one amazing team. The pace is fast, and change is frequent. We prioritize agility to adapt to whatever tomorrow brings.
