Role Summary

The Chief of Staff (COS) to the Co-Heads of Global Investments (HOI) acts as a strategic partner and multiplier to the HOI, ensuring their time, focus, and outputs are aligned to top strategic and investment priorities. This role serves as a trusted proxy and quality gate—able to assess whether materials, messaging, or work product are ready for senior audiences. Operates with immediate credibility across the organization, leveraging an existing broad and deep network and having a strong understanding of how the firm works. Brings judgment informed by experience (internal and/or client-facing) to elevate executive engagement, decision-making, and delivery quality. The individual should demonstrate both good strategic and tactical skillsets. This role will formally report to Sébastien Page in the system for now. However, as with all roles reporting into a HOI, it will also have a strong dotted-line relationship to Eric Veiel and will support both Co-Heads.

Responsibilities

Liaison to Key Stakeholders:

  • Represent HOI with senior leaders across Investments and the firm (MC members, Risk, Audit, HR, Enterprise Change)

  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships across a wide internal network

  • Serve as a connector and influencer, ensuring alignment and surfacing issues quickly

  • Act as proxy where appropriate, ensuring messaging and positioning are consistent with HOI perspective

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence:

  • Participate in key cross-functional initiatives and steering committees

  • Bring a strategic enterprise view, connecting dots across functions and investment teams

  • Influence without authority to drive alignment, resolve issues, and accelerate progress

  • Prepare concise, decision-oriented briefings for HOI

Critical Meetings & Leadership Cadence:

  • Shape agendas and content for leadership meetings (e.g., Investment leadership forums)

  • Ensure discussions are focused, decision-oriented, and well-prepared

  • Coordinate input while leveraging existing resources for administrative execution

  • Organizes preparation and distribution of materials in partnership with Sr. Executive Assistant

Strategic Content Review & Executive Readiness:

  • Act as a quality control checkpoint for materials (presentations, strategy updates, executive communications) before they reach senior forums

  • Evaluate whether work is: “Ready for HOI” vs. needs further development, aligned to strategic narrative, and investment priorities, and clear, concise, and appropriate for executive or client audiences

  • Leverage experience with executive presentations and/or client engagement to raise overall quality bar

  • Provide direct, actionable feedback to teams on how to improve content

Leverage HOI’s Time & Focus (in partnership with Sr Executive Assistant(s)):

  • Prioritize and manage HOI calendar with a sharp focus on highest-value engagements

  • Manage requests to ensure all meetings and commitments have clear purpose, outcomes, and preparation

  • Coordinate events – both internal & external – balancing between associate, client, and other external audience needs and ensuring efficient use of travel time

  • Provide insightful pre-reads and briefings, including context on participants, sensitivities, and decision points

  • Optimize travel and engagements to balance clients, internal leadership, and enterprise priorities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Well-established internal network across Investments, Distribution, and enterprise functions

  • Proven ability to navigate and influence across multiple groups quickly

  • Credibility to represent HOI with senior leaders immediately

  • Demonstrated ability to assess and elevate executive-level materials

  • Experience with strategy development, executive presentations, and/or client engagement

  • Ability to translate complex work into clear, decision-ready narratives

  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority

  • Strong presence and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders

  • Trusted advisor who can challenge constructively and improve outcomes

  • Ability to operate at high pace with shifting priorities

  • High level of availability, responsiveness, and consistent in-office presence aligned with leadership needs

  • Flexibility to support intensive periods of work (including nights/weekends when needed)

  • Strong understanding of Investments business and operating model

  • Client-facing experience highly valued (especially for external engagement context)

Preferred:

  • CFA or equivalent investment expertise is a plus, though role scope across multiple leaders makes this additive vs. required
