Our culture is built on five core values that inform everything we do. We encourage collaboration, feedback, ownership, and have a growth mindset. We know experience comes in many forms, some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.
About the role:
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CMO – a one-of-a-kind role, and an opportunity to be at the heart of HoneyBook’s marketing strategy, supporting initiatives from ideation through execution and impact measurement. It’s a chance to see firsthand how strategic marketing decisions are made and the trade-offs that shape our growth.
We’re looking for a highly-driven, self-motivated individual to work directly with our Chief Marketing Officer and her leadership team to drive key strategic initiatives and outcomes across our global marketing organization. As a member of the marketing leadership team and direct report to the CMO, you will expand the reach of the CMO by owning special projects end-to-end and acting as a trusted proxy when needed. This is a dynamic role requiring strategic insight, operational excellence, and exceptional communication skills. No two weeks will be the same.
As the Chief of Staff, you operate with high integrity and sound judgment, bringing clarity and structure to fast-moving projects. You’re seen as approachable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented by your peers and stakeholders. You care about fostering an inclusive, positive team culture and take proactive steps to align teams and optimize performance.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape how we work at an exciting moment in HoneyBook’s growth. If you’re passionate about our mission, love solving complex challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence in our San Francisco office 2-3 days per week.

- Oversee multiple strategic and operational initiatives across the marketing organization, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities.
- Lead cross-functional projects that drive efficiency, collaboration, and impact, partnering closely with leadership, product, and operations teams.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to provide strategic insights that inform decision-making for the CMO and marketing leadership.
- Own planning and execution for key marketing leadership meetings, including agenda setting, content development, and follow-ups.
- Craft internal and external communications on behalf of the CMO, including speaking engagements, partner meetings, all-hands presentations, and executive updates.
- Serve as a connector within the marketing team, ensuring alignment, streamlining communication, and optimizing the CMO’s time and focus.
- Partner with the CMO and People Team to champion initiatives that foster a strong, inclusive culture and support team development.
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, communications, marketing, or business management—ideally within a high-growth company.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills; experience with Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides preferred.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex projects.
- High attention to detail and ability to execute effectively under tight deadlines.
- Trustworthy, credible, and solutions-oriented, with a strong ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset—someone who can take an idea and run with it.
- Passion for HoneyBook’s mission and an eagerness to contribute to our next stage of growth.
