We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Chief Software Architect to join us and lead continuous improvements of architectural standards, quality, performance, scalability, security, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, the Chief Software Architect will work closely with engineering teams within the organization to align software architecture with the organization's business goals and objectives.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Architecture alignment with business goals and objectives: Ensure alignment across various layers of business goals and objectives.

  • Architecture Standards Leadership and Documentation: Own and continuously improve RSI's architecture standards. Ensure that systems architecture is well-defined, documented, and understood across all teams. Guide and coach product engineering teams in documenting their system(s) architectures to meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitating Decisions: Understand the needs of various stakeholders with different backgrounds, e.g. engineering, product, data, security, compliance, etc, and help reach common ground.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Security: Ensure any applicable requirements that the architecture should enable or prevent, are clearly identified and addressed.

  • Cross-team Collaboration: Facilitate cross-team agreements on services and contractual agreements (APIs) with understanding and appreciation that sometimes relative sub-system inefficiency is necessary to achieve greater overall efficiency.

All About You: 

  • Minimum of 10 years+ in software engineering, with at least 7 years+ in software and/or system architect role
  • Deep technical understanding of SSDLC, software development methodologies, programming languages, frameworks, architectural patterns, best practices, and technologies relevant to RSI (Java, Kafka, Oracle, Postgres, and containerization).
  • Experience in designing and optimizing software architecture of large-scale distributed transactional platforms.
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively lead and coach software engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts, including non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with multiple departments, and lead discussions.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate complex systems & problems in a simple and understandable way.
  • Superb problem-solving skills with exceptional ability to identify key questions, hitting right at the heart of issues.
  • Strategic mindset to align software architecture with the organization's business goals and objectives.

  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably online gaming.
  • Experience with different maturity stages of companies, incl. growth from a startup to scaleup to a mature organization.
  • Experience with security architecture, data architecture, data warehousing, and BI.
  • Experience with modern infrastructure automation and container orchestration tooling.
