JOB SUMMARY

The Program Director of iSCORE provides strategic leadership and oversight for all iSCORE programmatic operations, ensuring that initiatives are designed, implemented, and continuously improved in alignment with the organization’s mission and impact goals. The Program Director regularly engages with students (PreK–16), educators and faculty, staff, funders, and community partners to support high-quality program delivery and stakeholder engagement. Under the general direction of the CEO of iSCORE, the Chief Program Director assists with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of iSCORE initiatives, while building and supporting a high-performing program team that advances the organization’s mission and positions iSCORE for sustainable growth.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the development, implementation, and refinement of iSCORE’s STEM programs, curriculum, and learning, models

  • Manages program delivery across sites, school districts, higher education partners, and community-based organizations

  • Analyzes and synthesizes program data for continuous improvement, decision-making, and stakeholder communication

  • Prepares impact reports and evaluation summaries for federal agencies, philanthropic foundations, corporate funders

  • Collaborates with the CEO to steward relationships with federal, state, philanthropic, and corporate funders

  • Supports grant proposal development by providing program plans, logic models, data, narratives, and evidence of impact aligned with STEM funding priorities

  • Contributes to grant reporting through narrative documentation, data analysis, evaluation synthesis, and participant stories

  • Supervises Program Leads and instructional staff; creates a culture of coaching, accountability, and continuous improvements

  • Coordinates logistics, training, and professional development for staff, educators, volunteers, and contracted facilitators

  • Maintains relationships with K–12 districts, higher education institutions, STEM ecosystem partners, nonprofits, and industry collaborators

  • Contributes to strategic planning and organizational growth

  • Teaches three to four undergraduate courses in the School of Education

  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of designing and refining programs in response to data, stakeholder needs, and evolving contexts

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse audiences (students, educators, faculty, funders, and ecosystem partners)

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workstreams simultaneously

  • Proficiency with technology tools used for collaboration, communication, program delivery, and/or data management

  • Ability to establish, cultivate, and strengthen partnerships with area schools, higher education institutions, community organizations, and local businesses

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

  • Commitment to equity, justice, and expanding participation in STEM learning ecosystems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate degree in STEM Education, STEM discipline, Public Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience working with PreK–12 educators and students, with preference for candidates who have experience across multiple grade bands (e.g., elementary, middle, high school)

  • Experience leading complex projects or initiatives within educational, nonprofit, STEM, or community-based settings

  • Experience supervising staff, coaching educators, or managing teams

  • Experience with grant-funded initiatives, reporting, or proposal development
     

This position is being funded by designated funds, therefore continuation in this position is contingent upon funding availability.
