About the Role

Neural Concept builds category defining AI that helps engineers design better physical products, faster. Our technology is used by leading engineering organizations, including Formula 1 teams and major automotive manufacturers across Europe and Asia. We are defining a new category, AI for Engineering, and we are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to establish it and build the marketing organization required for our next stage of global growth.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead an established international team and own our market positioning, product narrative, growth strategy and marketing operating model. You will combine a deep understanding of complex technology and enterprise customers with the ability to set priorities, scale teams and stay personally involved in the work that matters most.

You will inherit a capable specialist team spanning product marketing, brand and communications, digital and marketing operations, creative, partner marketing and regional field marketing. Your job is to give that team a clear, durable strategy, connect our technology and market narrative to enterprise growth, and make disciplined choices about priorities, organization and resource allocation.

Your work will shape how a new category is understood across the engineering world and influence how global manufacturers adopt AI in their design processes.

What you will do

Define positioning and category narrative

  • Own Neural Concept's point of view, differentiation, customer value proposition and category story around AI for Engineering.

  • Translate complex technology into a narrative that lands with engineers, executive buyers, partners, analysts and the broader market, and turn it into product marketing, sales enablement, launches, customer stories and executive-level commercial materials.

  • Keep it consistent across the product story, sales motion, customer conversations, partnerships and company communications.

Build the marketing operating model

  • Set the structure, priorities, processes and decision cadence needed to scale the function.

  • Decide where to deploy internal resources, which capabilities to build in-house, and where to use agencies or external partners.

  • Make explicit what the team is doing, why it matters, what it is not doing, and how success is measured.

Drive pipeline and enterprise growth

  • Define how marketing creates opportunities, accelerates pipeline and supports large enterprise deals, with particular attention to the highest-value opportunities in the pipeline, the US market, account-based marketing, and field and executive marketing.

  • Own the path from target account and engagement to qualified opportunity, and report on the indicators marketing is accountable for: 1.) opportunity creation, 2.) marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline, 3.) account engagement, 4.) brand authority and 5.) customer advocacy.

  • Build an integrated growth engine across ABM, field, digital, partner marketing and demand generation, aimed at technical users, champions, economic buyers and full buying committees.

Build market leverage

  • Use customer evidence, partners, analysts, PR, thought leadership and major industry moments to amplify Neural Concept's position.

  • Strengthen partner marketing and connect it to the demand engine rather than running partnerships as isolated announcements, so customers and the ecosystem tell the company's story alongside it.

Lead and develop the marketing team

  • Give the specialist team clear priorities, decision-making frameworks and accountability across product marketing, brand and communications, digital and marketing operations, creative, partner marketing and regional field marketing.

  • Stay personally involved in the highest-impact work: positioning, strategic campaigns, major launches, customer narratives and critical enterprise opportunities.

Align marketing across the company

  • Run a regular alignment cadence with the CEO, commercial leadership, Product, Engineering and the marketing team.

  • Pressure-test assumptions, surface decisions early, and set and defend trade-offs so the function stays focused rather than reactive to every new request.

  • Hold a shared marketing vision that is stable enough for the team to build against and adaptable when the company or market genuinely changes.

  • Represent Neural Concept externally with customers, partners, analysts, media and industry leaders.

Who you are

Typically 12+ years in marketing, including several years owning a full marketing mandate at VP or C level. You understand product marketing, category creation, brand, demand generation, field marketing and enterprise go-to-market well enough to lead and integrate them, without needing to be the direct specialist in each.

Mandatory experience

  • Senior marketing leadership in a technical B2B environment: engineering software, industrial technology, robotics, AI, simulation, CAD/CAE, PLM or scientific software.

  • Generic SaaS experience is not sufficient on its own; evidence of operating with complex products and highly technical buyers is required.

  • Building or materially scaling a marketing organization, with direct ownership of budget, organization design and measurable business outcomes.

  • Creating or shaping a market category and connecting it to commercial growth.

  • Strong product marketing and positioning capability.

  • Supporting complex enterprise sales and multi-stakeholder buying processes.

  • Global experience across the US and Europe.

  • Leading senior specialists while working closely with a technical founder and executive team.

Strongly preferred

  • Direct experience in simulation, CAE, CAD or PLM software, or in AI and deep-tech products sold to engineering organizations.

  • Prior CMO or full-function marketing leadership.

  • Established relationships with industry analysts and technical media.

Hard skills

  • Positioning and messaging, product marketing, category design, account-based marketing, demand generation, field and executive marketing, marketing analytics and pipeline attribution, budget ownership, organization design, go-to-market strategy.

How you work

  • Intellectually curious and commercially rigorous, and measures marketing by the outcomes it drives, not the volume of activity.

  • Able to challenge assumptions without creating unnecessary friction.

  • Brings an independent, professional marketing perspective rather than waiting for the CEO or commercial team to define marketing.

  • Comfortable moving between strategy and execution: defining the category one day, reviewing an ABM campaign or a customer narrative the next, then deciding where not to invest.

  • Able to operate with limited resources and stay hands-on when the situation demands it.

  • Communicates trade-offs and priorities clearly.

What You Get
  • Work with a world-class technology team – our engineers are top-notch, and we always aim for excellence.

  • Benefit from a competitive salary and rewarding opportunities as we continue to scale.

  • Thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment where your work is visible and recognized.

  • Develop professionally alongside talented colleagues who share knowledge freely and support one another.

  • Make a global impact by helping customers shift to AI-assisted design, making innovation faster, smarter, and more sustainable.

  • Balance life and work with a hybrid model and flexible hours—we care about results, not rigid schedules.

We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment where you can thrive.
