Inheriting a solid foundation with major recent investments, the incoming CIO will raise Amplify's operational ceiling-navigating a complex environment featuring consultative sales, physical/digital fulfillment, and sophisticated revenue recognition. The CIO leads a 175-person organization (75 FTEs plus partners and contractors) with a budget over $45 million, reporting to a CTO who is a hands-on technical leader invested in the CIO's success, and working closely with the COO on enterprise initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Enterprise Roadmap & Simplification:
Own strategy and optimization for the core tech stack (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, HubSpot) and 400+ applications, driving down debt and managing costs.
AI Transformation:
Staff, activate, and lead the internal AI Transformation team to embed AI and low-code/no-code capabilities across business workflows safely.
Own the internal AI productivity pipeline and the rollout of tools like Glean, Claude, and Salesforce Agentforce, internal vibe-coding for non-coders, and the governance that lets people build both quickly and safely.
Risk & Financial Controls:
Partner with Finance and external auditors to ensure transaction integrity, maturing General IT Controls (GITC) and supporting SOC and financial audit readiness.
Reallocate technology investments toward historically underserved areas (People, Marketing, and Product-facing technology) while maintaining pristine financial controls.
Team Leadership:
Lead a high-performance, multi-disciplinary, 175-person blended workforce.
Complete the planned organizational evolution toward distinct strategic and operational arms, and ensure the structure enables both rigorous governance and agile delivery.
Internal Partnership:
Streamline governance overhead, support a culture of accountability to stakeholders, and empower teams to deliver pragmatic solutions quickly.
Evolve the Business Systems team into a faster, more proactive, solutions-oriented partner — functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, CX, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product will partner closely with the CIO as they improve and transform their processes.
Partner closely with the Data organization, and assess opportunities to streamline and improve the joint collaboration with business functions.
Required Skills and Experience:
Scale & Complexity: Has led a 50+ person IT/Business Systems organization with a substantial budget inside a complex, multi-channel business ($300M-$1B+ revenue). Ideally one combining physical logistics or fulfillment with digital SaaS delivery.
AI Implementation: Has driven enterprise AI adoption past the pilot stage by deploying tools with true workforce uptake, and building governance that lets teams move both quickly and safely. Evidence of deploying tools/systems with a measurable approach (e.g. standing up or scaling an AI/enablement team and empowering non-technical builders with low-code/no-code tools — not just sponsored them.)
Enterprise Systems Depth: Has owned a modern core stack (CRM, ERP, HRIS) and a large application portfolio, with a record of simplification, cost discipline, and reallocating investment toward where the business is heading.
Financial Rigor: Deep comfort partnering with CFOs and external auditors on revenue recognition, SOC/SOX/GITC frameworks, and audit readiness — able to present on controls and organizational maturity to a Board audit & risk committee with credibility.
Team Building: Has assessed and upgraded variable talent, evolved org structures (strategic vs. delivery arms), and reduced over reliance on external partners-a "tent pole" leader who attracts strong technologists and brings a network with them.
Leadership Competencies:
A proactive partner obsessed with internal customer success, biased toward speed and pragmatic interim solutions over process for its own sake.
A leader that balances rigorous governance with agile execution, and knows when each matters.
A cross-functional facilitator who designs processes across silos rather than building a large standalone empire.
Executive presence suited to a true leadership-team seat and regular Board interaction.
Mission-driven: energized by work that shows up in classrooms, and by the cadence of a fast-growing company.
