Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance, accounting, revenue cycle, and physician compensation functions for our corporate offices and multiple related entities. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and working on-site at our Mount Vernon Business Office, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial health and strategic direction of Skagit Radiology. The CFO serves as a member of the executive committee, contributing to organizational strategy and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Leads finance, accounting, and physician compensation functions across the organization and multiple affiliated entities
- Directs capital structure strategy, including negotiating financing arrangements with lenders for operational and equipment needs
- Develops financial models and evaluates capital alternatives for strategic opportunities, mergers, and joint ventures
- Administers partner buy-in and buy-out transactions, including valuation analysis, financing structures, and compliance with shareholder agreements
- Provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the full revenue cycle, partnering with the Director of RCM to optimize billing, coding, and collections while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustained financial performance
- Prepares financial statements, special reports, and financial dashboards for leadership
- Oversees and improves budgeting processes and ensures budget compliance
- Partners with the CAO on annual budget preparation and strategic financial planning
- Maintains accounting records on an accrual basis in accordance with GAAP
- Establishes and maintains cash controls, oversees investments and cash reserves, and ensures reconciliation of general ledgers and bank statements
- Implements and monitors adherence to financial procedures and policies organization-wide
- Supervises accounts payable and accounts receivable,
- Oversees supplier accounts, purchase order systems, and financial recordkeeping and security systems
- Partners with the Director of Human Resources on the self-funded medical plan, 401(k) program and audit, and payroll review
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare finance and accounting, preferably in a medical group practice setting
- Experience with S Corp and LLC accounting and tax rules
- Experience with mergers, joint ventures, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in NetSuite preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial software, management systems, and payroll procedures
- Working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, payer reimbursement, and physician compensation models
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including supervising and developing finance and accounting staff across multiple functions
- Ability to verify and interpret financial data and records with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to a board of physician partners and collaborate across departments
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential financial, compensation, and partner-related matters
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Compensation
- Relocation may be considered for the right candidate.
- Salary range $240,000 - $305,000.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA

They offer subspecialty expertise in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, and breast imaging, supporting hospitals and imaging centers through a teleradiology network to ensure accurate and timely clinical interpretations for improved patient care.
