Chief Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance function for a large and growing consumer durables manufacturing business. The role will be responsible for overall financial strategy, business partnering, profitability, cash flow, banking, compliance, risk management and financial governance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing / consumer durables, with the ability to work closely with the MD/CEO and senior leadership on business and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Finance, Accounts, Tax, Treasury and Controllership functions.
  
• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business growth and profitability objectives.
  
• Drive P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, MIS and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  
• Provide strategic financial insights to the MD/CEO and business leadership for decision-making.
  
• Manage working capital, cash flow, liquidity and capital allocation.
  
• Lead relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, auditors and other external stakeholders.
  
• Oversee fund raising, debt management, banking facilities and financing requirements.
  
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance, statutory compliance and risk management.
  
• Drive cost optimisation, margin improvement and profitability enhancement across manufacturing operations.
  
• Partner with operations, procurement, sales and supply chain teams on costing, pricing, inventory and working-capital optimisation.
  
• Oversee statutory audit, internal audit, taxation, GST, transfer pricing and regulatory compliance.
  
• Strengthen finance processes, systems, controls and ERP-based financial reporting.
  
• Lead financial evaluation of CAPEX, new plants, capacity expansion, investments and strategic projects.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, management dashboards and business MIS.
  
• Build, mentor and develop a high-performing finance organisation.
  

Candidate Profile

• 18–25+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
  
• Strong background in consumer durables, appliances, electronics, electricals or large-scale manufacturing.
  
• Experience handling large manufacturing P&Ls, multi-location operations and complex business environments.
  
• Strong exposure to FP&A, business finance, treasury, working capital, banking, taxation, audit and controllership.
  
• Demonstrated experience in cost management, profitability improvement and financial transformation.
  
• Strong commercial and business partnering orientation with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience working directly with MD/CEO/Board/Senior Management.
  
• CA qualification preferred/mandatory depending on the organisation's requirements.
  
• Strong knowledge of ERP/SAP, financial systems, MIS and analytics.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making capabilities.
