PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As the Global Head of Enterprise Architecture, the role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of enterprise architecture framework and strategy. The primary focus will be on aligning technology solutions with the organization’s business objectives and ensuring that IT infrastructure and systems support scalability, security, and efficiency and align wit the outcome Uniops need to provide. Provide strategic direction, oversee architecture governance by Chairing the Architecture Steering Committee, and drive solution design and innovation to meet the evolving needs of the business. Lead and grow the Global Enterprise Architecture and Innovation team across Inia, UK and Brazil. This role will also be part of the Global One Tech Leadership team.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

EA Strategy, Governance and Risk Management

Develop and communicate the enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals. Establish and enforce architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across all IT initiatives. Identify and mitigate architecture-related risks, including security vulnerabilities, compliance issues and technology dependencies.
 

Technology Roadmap and Planning

Collaborate with business leaders and IT reams to prioritize technology investments and develop long term technology roadmap. Optimize Cloud Infrastructure - Develop and implement a cloud adoption strategy, including assessing cloud readiness, selecting cloud providers.

Emerging Technology

Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends and assess their potential impact on the organization’s architecture and business processes. Partner and drive Technology innovation strategy and culture across UniOps Leadership Team.

Drive the strategic direction of our core technology transformation programmes in relation to AI strategy and future AI capability.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, external partners to align architecture initiatives with business needs and priorities.

Represent Unilever in global tech forums – CII, NASSCOM, Gartner etc.

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the team of enterprise architecture and Innovation, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's in Computer Science / Information technology

  • 15-20 years' experience required in IT product/service organizations

  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture leadership roles, with a track record of successfully implementing architecture frameworks and strategies.

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, AI, application development, data management, and security principles.

  • Experience with architecture modeling tools and techniques; cloud computing technologies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving business value through technology innovation

  • Leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience of working in GCC (“global capacity centre”) set up and leading global teams would be an added advantage

  • Experience in leading and landing IT transformation projects
