Responsibilities of this role include: • Operation and maintenance of a 1st Class powerhouse that includes ammonia and refrigeration systems.• Provide support and direction to tradespeople in maintaining the reliability of boiler and refrigeration, and water treatment services.• Responsible for steam systems, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, water supply systems, fire protection.• Supervision of contracted services within the factory as required.• Driving and supporting Continuous Improvement ideas along with problem solving & troubleshooting opportunities that arise on shift.• Administrative responsibilities include Budget control as well as task/time scheduling using relevant softwares and electronic reports as required.• Administrative functions of a supervisory role, such as time keeping, vacation planning, taking call-ins and finding replacements• Manages overall operation of the department. • Assist factory teams in developing areas of opportunity.• With support from other leaders, ensure a safe and healthy work environment.• Coaching & mentoring plant associates on change management and driving / sustaining positive business practices and tool applications on the shop floor• Prepares shift schedules.• Oversees associate training.• Liaison with corporate support for project management initiatives • As a member of the maintenance leadership team at the facility, participate in the continuous improvement process. This includes taking an active role in process improvement initiatives, employee training, and upgrading your current skill base.• Support and identify training opportunities/activities for the Maintenance Department• Completes and submits required reports in a timely manner.• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 1st Class Power Engineers Certificate • 5 to 10 years of supervisory experience
