As Chief Engineer, you would be the highest-ranking engineer onboard, responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of the engine room and equipment onboard.

Overview of the Job

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for:

  • The operation and maintenance procedures of the main machines,
  • Power generation plants and auxiliary equipment that are inside the machine room, as well as those that are on deck,
  • Guaranteeing efficiency in the operation of all the mechanical equipment inside the tugboats. 

What You Offer

  • More than 2 years of experience in similar position preferable. 
  • Technical degree in Industrial Mechanic, Diesel/ Hydraulic or related fields, preferable. 
  • Capacity to perform Level I maintenance to the equipment. 
  • Basic knowledge in multi-meter use, fuel and water probe use, amount of fuel and water calculation, appropriate use of paints, oils analysis, use of heat gun, manometers and thermometers reading. 
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Skills Required
