As a Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy, protection and storage requirements. Job Responsibilities
- Execute the 1st Line of Defense operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law.
- Lead and support programs to support the operating model.
- Ensure effective execution of requirements, inclusive of regulatory change.
- Actively partner with the business to deliver required results.
- Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of initiatives.
- Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address business requirements and mitigate risks.
- Support the business preparing for exams, compliance tests and audits.
- Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the operating model.
- Refresh and manage governance documentation, including procedures and operating models.
- Report and escalate data risks, support planning, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years' experience within the banking or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Experience building and managing programs in regulated financial institutions.
- Expertise in implementing data related regulatory change and advising on requirements.
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups.
- Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments.
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation and influencing skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in data governance or data risk management within an investment bank or large financial institution.
