Job Description:

At Elara Caring, we believe the best care happens where people live. We are seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to lead our enterprise compliance, privacy, and regulatory functions.


Reporting to the General Counsel, this role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, providing strategic oversight of compliance and privacy programs, regulatory risk, investigations, and organizational ethics.

As Chief Compliance Officer, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
  • Lead and oversee Elara Caring’s Compliance and Privacy Programs.
  • Identify, assess, and respond to organizational compliance and regulatory risks.
  • Lead the annual compliance risk assessment and compliance work plan.
  • Advise senior leadership and the Board on compliance, privacy, ethics, and regulatory matters.
  • Serve as management representative to the Board Compliance Committee.
  • Oversee government inquiries, investigations, regulatory responses, and internal compliance matters.
  • Ensure regulatory changes are communicated and incorporated into organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership to compliance, audit, licensing, regulatory, and privacy teams.
  • Support compliance and privacy due diligence and integration activities related to growth and acquisitions.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and ethical business practices.

What is Required?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of healthcare corporate compliance experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Home health or hospice experience preferred.
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and healthcare privacy certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance risk, investigations, privacy, fraud and abuse, and regulatory oversight.
  • Strong executive communication, leadership, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives, Boards of Directors, and cross-functional business partners.
  • Ability to travel periodically for meetings and onsite compliance support.
