  • Establish and champion engineering best practices, including software design patterns, code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and testing methodologies.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our software architecture, evolving it as the business grows and new challenges arise.
  • Develop and maintain key technical documentation, design specifications, and roadmaps to guide engineering efforts.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the engineering organization.

Requirements

Here’s what we need from you:

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing distributed, high-scale backend systems for SaaS products.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a focus on micro services, event-driven design, and highly scalable distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in a range of modern programming languages and frameworks: .NET, Node.js, Golang, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux).
  • Expertise in designing APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and data models for both NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and the software development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and event sourcing.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and how they can be applied within large-scale platforms - is a plus.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and coaching engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.

What makes you an ideal candidate:

  • You thrive in high-stakes, fast-moving environments and enjoy balancing strategic leadership with hands-on engineering work.
  • You are an advocate for best practices in system design, security, and scalability, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
