The CAO will be a key partner to the CFO and executive team, responsible for the full accounting and reporting functions. As Yext grows, including international expansion and M&amp;A activities, the CAO will take on additional responsibilities.<br><br>The CAO will lead Yext’s accounting team, managing the record-to-report cycle, month-end close, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting and analysis. Success in this role depends on leadership, organizational development, process improvement, strategic execution, and strong communication. The CAO will manage a global team.</p>
<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead global accounting operations, including payroll, billing, collections, procurement, AP, technical accounting, revenue accounting, international accounting, and SEC reporting.</li>
<li>Oversee and modernize systems and processes to stay ahead of technological advancements.</li>
<li>Scale business processes, systems, and financial controls to support future growth, focusing on continuous improvement and automation.</li>
<li>Drive efficiencies in accounting operations, focusing on process improvement and shortened close cycles. Implement best-in-class solutions to improve processes, quality, and productivity.</li>
<li>Manage the accounting budget, balancing internal and external spend, and innovating finance service delivery.</li>
<li>Create a strategic vision for finance and accounting to support Yext’s business objectives.</li>
<li>Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team, attracting, growing and retaining top talent.</li>
<li>Align accounting team priorities with company objectives, providing advanced service and value.</li>
<li>Serve on the finance leadership team, collaborating with the CFO and other leaders on functional and people priorities.</li>
<li>Serve on the extended leadership team and develop relationships with senior leaders to support new customer products, company wide initiatives and business/system process changes.</li>
<li>Lead Audit Committee meetings and support other Board of Director meetings.</li>
<li>Demonstrate urgency in meeting targets, benchmarking team performance, and achieving goals.</li>
<li>Align individual performance measures with organizational goals.</li>
<li>Build relationships to help others achieve their objectives.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of accountability</li>

<p><strong>What You Have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Public company experience at companies with $2B+ market cap.</li>
<li>15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, beginning in a Big Four public accounting firm. Recent experience as a CAO in a fast-growing public company of similar size and complexity.</li>
<li>Public company/SEC reporting and SOX compliance experience required.</li>
<li>Experience scaling and improving processes, systems, and teams during periods of change.</li>
<li>Experience in global businesses, with the ability to build a cohesive approach worldwide.</li>
<li>M&amp;A experience.</li>
<li>Experience building and developing high-performing teams, with a track record of attracting and retaining top talent.</li>
<li>CPA and/or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li>
<li>Preferred: Experience with SaaS.</li>

Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave.
