We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our growing medical imaging and healthcare technology organization. This role is critical to maintaining the financial strength of the company by overseeing core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting leadership with reliable, timely financial data.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and brings experience from healthcare, SaaS, or technology-driven environments, with a strong understanding of multi-entity and multi-currency accounting. This is a Hybrid position for someone who resides in Massachusetts.
What You’ll DoAccounting & Financial Operations
Oversee daily accounting activities including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations
Manage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and applicable healthcare regulations
Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and efficiency
Ensure strong documentation and audit trails across accounting processes
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner closely with the CFO, Controller, and executive leadership
Provide insights on revenue recognition, contracts, projects, and operational performance
Mentor and support accounting team members as needed
Industry & Global Accounting Support
Support accounting for medical imaging solutions, software licensing, services, and long-term projects
Assist with multi-currency transactions, international entities, and intercompany accounting
Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure accurate cost and revenue alignment
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition principles
Experience with multi-currency and multi-entity accounting
