About the location:

Nestled along a two-mile (3.2-kilometre) stretch of beach in Puerto Rico’s Bahia Beach community, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is also surrounded by its own 483-acre (195-hectare) private nature reserve. The property is seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings, allowing guests and residents to immerse themselves in the white sand beaches, verdant walking trails, and myriad outdoor activities – from golf, tennis, swimming and beyond.

About the Role 

Four Seasons is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role is critical in supporting hotel leadership, maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and upholding the highest standards of financial excellence that define the Four Seasons brand. 

What You Will Do 

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets 

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company standards and local regulations 

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and Four Seasons accounting policies 

  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement 

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors 

  • Partner with hotel leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis 

  • Monitor cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial risks 

  • Support system implementations, process improvements, and financial reporting enhancements 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related. 

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, ideally within hospitality or a service-driven environment 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams 

  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and sound professional judgment 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

  • Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to upholding Four Seasons values
