The Chief Accountant will direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general cashiering in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures
What you will do:
Perform with accuracy and timeliness all accounting and financial reporting, books and records. (30%)
Guide income auditor to ensure an effective internal control and safeguard the assets and resources of the hotel. (20%)
Ensure monthly bank reconciliations, cash counts of all issued banks, including the general cashier, and reporting any discrepancies to the Director of Finance. (10%)
Analyze and provide control over balance sheet and P&L accounts and assist in internal and external audits. (10%)
Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as outlined in Embark. (10%)
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)
Accurately record and check all sales revenues and settlement transactions in a timely fashion. (10%)
What you bring:
Collage education or equivalent experience
Experience required by position is from one to three years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other Organization.
Requires a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and/or NIIF
Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications.
Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment. Plus: If you have knowledge of systems such as Opera/Birchstreet/SUN/Micros
Excellent English and Spanish (Preferred) language.
