LAWAZEM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to provide strategic insights to drive the organization forward.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage the budget preparation process and monitor budget performance.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Based in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
