We are looking for Chief Accountant, who would join our diverse Finance team.

What to Expect:

This position is offered for a definite period of time of 24 months with a possibility to extend contract to unlimited, based on your performance. Your trial period will be 3 months.

About you:

To supervise the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office with specific focus on how it reflects from the Czech local regulations and Czech Accounting Principles. To assist the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the hotel's operation. To ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Understand and possess a working knowledge of the Accounting & Finance Manual, company policies and procedures and understand the current Edition of USALI.
  • Good understanding of Month-End Process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved satisfactorily.
  • Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.
  • Participate in the physical inventory counts and the subsequent accuracy of count, price, and valuation.
  • Ensure that income is properly recorded and an accurate and timely Daily Business Report is generated.
  • Have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the payroll, general ledger, accounts receivable, payable and general cashiering.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in Forecasting/Budgeting and assist the Department Heads in producing their annual labor budgets.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Finance with maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the assets and resources of the hotel.
  • Assist with the development of the Finance Department staff to aid the future growth of the company.
  • Assist in other areas of the accounting office as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of taxes and local regulations.
  • Require a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, Four Seasons Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures and job knowledge of all positions in Accounting, Purchasing and Food & Beverage control. Working knowledge is generally learned on the job or through a series of professional certifications.
  • Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and computer skills. Sun, iScala and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued.
  • Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen.
  • Must have EU Work Authorization.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
