We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to take responsibility for Group financial management and statutory compliance across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a hands-on CA looking to grow within a Group finance environment, gain exposure to strategic decision-making, and take ownership of core financial functions with appropriate executive support.
The successful candidate must be based in Cape Town and comfortable operating across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for Group entities.
- Assistance with Group consolidations and inter company reconciliations.
- Preparation and review of annual financial statements.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow reporting.
- Variance analysis and preparation of management commentary.
Statutory, Compliance & Audit
- Support and manage statutory compliance in line with IFRS, the Companies Act, and tax legislation.
- Preparation and submission of VAT, provisional tax, and related statutory returns.
- Coordination with external auditors and support during audit processes.
- Maintenance of internal controls and financial governance processes.
Group Finance & Business Support
- Provide financial support to management on operational and strategic initiatives.
- Assist with financial modelling, cost analysis, and scenario planning.
- Monitor financial performance and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support inter company billing and Group reporting structures.
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Assist with Group cash-flow management and forecasting.
- Oversight of debtors, creditors, and payment cycles.
- Support banking and treasury-related administration.
Stakeholder & Team Support
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams.
- Support and guide junior finance staff or outsourced providers, where applicable.
- Act as a reliable finance partner within the business.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA).
- 0–3 years post-articles experience (junior to mid-level).
- Exposure to group reporting or multi-entity environments advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and tax principles.
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Must reside in Cape Town (non-negotiable).
