Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end chargeback and dispute processes in alignment with card scheme and banking guidelines.
- Investigate and analyze disputed transactions to determine validity and root causes.
- Prepare and submit compelling evidence and documentation to resolve disputes effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Risk, Customer Support, and Operations) to address dispute trends and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all chargeback cases, outcomes, and related communications.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards summarizing chargeback performance metrics.
- Identify potential fraud trends and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in chargeback operations, payment reconciliation, or dispute management.
- Strong understanding of Visa, MasterCard, and other payment network chargeback rules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and chargeback management tools/systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or payment processing industries.
- Familiarity with fraud prevention tools and digital payment workflows.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
