- Ensuring all general ledger (GL) entries are posted with proper accounting treatment.
- Performing Month On Month (MoM) analysis to identify and investigate any unusual movements or discrepancies before book closure.
- Coordinating with relevant teams to resolve open items, pending entries, or reconciliation issues ahead of close deadlines.
- Submitting of Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) certifications to avoid any penalties.
- Management Reports (Month To Data (MTD) Sales Report, Cash MIS-Daily Shop balances.
- No Due Certificate (NDC) and debt swap preparations and closure.
- Daily Deallocation of Shop E-Value against Cash Delivered to Shops.
- Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), prompt receipt posting and tracking of open items. Facilitate approval of staff device credit memos requests.
- Monthly Cash In Hand (CIH) and Cash In Transit (CIT) reconciliation
- Support with follow up of shop inquiries with USDM Support Team
- Ensuring all customers trading on credit facilities are trading within agreed credit terms.
- CA Zambia | ACCA | CIMA | Degree in Accounting
- Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, Sound Financial Accounting knowledge
Skills Required
- CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, or Degree in Accounting
- Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Sound financial accounting knowledge (GL posting, month-end close)
- Experience preparing Management Reports (MTD Sales, Cash MIS)
- Experience with bank reconciliations (BRS) and tracking open items
- Monthly Cash In Hand (CIH) and Cash In Transit (CIT) reconciliation experience
- Experience submitting Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) certifications
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and resolve reconciliation/entry issues
- Experience managing credit facilities monitoring and shop e‑value deallocation processes
