The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing short and long term channel marketing plans to support the Retail and Distributor channels’ strategy, as well as ensuring marketing and operational excellence for Husqvarna. Additional responsibilities will include field analysis on key trends, competitive activity, and general marketplace activity. The Channel Marketing Specialist will also coordinate category management for the Key Accounts within the channel of distribution and handle crisis management and resolution.

What You Need to Know:

• Channel Planning and Strategic Support – drive development and execution of short and long range channel marketing plans to support the assigned channels’ strategic plan – including situational and business performance analysis, strategic objectives, tactical plans, critical success factors and budgeting.

• Marketing Excellence –  drive marketing support activities (including line reviews, advertising and promotional execution efforts, literature, collateral and in-store etc.) ensuring they are on time, on spec, and within budget.

• Promotions - coordinating cross functionally to manage promotions, ensuring seamless launch and comprehensive post-launch marketing campaign support. Maintain a calendar of promotional activity within the assigned channels and manage MAPP for all channels.

 Channel Advertising and Marketing – coordinate with business unit marketing and sales teams to drive the ideation, creation, and execution of channel advertising and marketing materials. Coordinate with internal designers and third party agencies to develop marketing assets (including digital and traditional advertising, literature, and sales support tools). Identify and partner with third party vendors to activate marketing campaigns that deliver a high ROI within the channels. Respond to graphics-related inquiries or requests and supply materials to customers as required.

 In-Store & Merchandising -  support the In-Store Experience Marketing Manager to execute effective in-store POP materials and display merchandising programs. Forecast display inventory, ensure program effectiveness and support new display development.

• Communication role – ensure superior communication cross functionally within Husqvarna and through the assigned channels.

 Sales Support & Relationship Building – develop and maintain a superior working relationship with key individuals and groups within Husqvarna and the key accounts and customers.

• Partnership Building - bring together the systems and resource capabilities of both Husqvarna and the customers to achieve the goals of both organizations. Execute “win-win” scenarios for the key accounts and customers within the assigned channel and for Husqvarna.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

• 4 to 6 years of marketing, sales, or channel management experience (OPE preferred)

• Superior teamwork skills and proven ability to work cross functionally

• Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and quickly adapt to changing situations

• Organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently

• A continuous improvement mindset, not accepting the status quo

• Experience with promotions, digital/social/traditional marketing, merchandising and POP
