Sales Manager
Your Role: Own the Challenge
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales strategy for channel sales in the industrial segment in Austria, enhancing ABB’s market penetration in the Electrification business and achieving growth objectives. You will plan and execute the business unit’s sales strategy on a daily basis to profitably reach both qualitative and quantitative goals for the assigned channel – with a focus on order intake, revenue, growth, margin, market share, sales efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you will leverage your expertise to lead, develop, and coach the associated channel sales organization.
Define and implement the channel sales strategy for the Austrian market in line with marketing and sales guidelines, continuously monitoring progress against objectives.
Conduct annual performance reviews, manage forecasting processes, and ensure effective communication, promotion, and training initiatives for sales partners.
Develop policies and relevant standards, such as market segmentation or customer assessment, for global partner evaluation and certification, while promoting innovation, collaboration, and compliance within the team.
Lead a highly motivated sales team, foster individual potential, and drive collective growth to achieve strategic objectives.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
Completed education in electrical engineering (university, technical college, HTL, or master craftsman certification).
Proven experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within the electrical engineering or industrial sector.
Entrepreneurial mindset and integrity, with a strong commitment to delivering results.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to leverage trends, data, and digital tools to optimize sales performance and processes.
Solid understanding of compliance requirements, risk management, and adherence to organizational policies and standards.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel, primarily within the country but also occasionally internationally, as required.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 80.000 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
