What we’re looking for: 

Nexamp is seeking a Channel Development Manager to join our Corporate Development team in support of Nexamp’s asset acquisitions and targeted growth strategy. The Channel Development Manager will be responsible for assisting the Channel Development team to efficiently process project and pipeline acquisition opportunities through asset financing, establish and cultivate relationships with a growing network of development partners, and generally pursue strategic targets and internal KPIs, including continuous product improvement and ongoing market and opportunity tracking. This role will report to the Director of Channel Development. You will be hybrid out of our Boston office. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Support deal origination efforts on behalf of Channel Development team across active and target markets in advancement of annual budgetary goals and KPIs
  • Sustain productive, responsive, and candid communications with partners and internal teams
  • Coordinate closely with Nexamp business units to ensure efficient flow of information and decision-making for individual opportunities and portfolios
  • Implement and manage robust organizational system and tools to manage project workflow with particular focus on cross-functional collaboration; continuously solicit internal feedback on the accessibility and effectiveness of such tools to identify areas of potential improvement
  • Maintain a detailed, organized, and accessible system for assessing and analyzing project and partner pipeline; manage and maintain internal tools (including Pricing Calculators, reports, and databases) to ensure real-time accuracy and insights on project and partner status
  • Collaborate with key internal teams (Capital Markets, Policy, and other Corporate Development groups) to ensure efficient flow of information and decision-making for individual project and portfolios; ensure that all relevant program details are accurately and thoroughly captured in internal tools such as pricing models and shared pricing calculators, as appropriate
  • Coordinate the continuous refinement of the Channel Development product offering for various partner types
  • Assist with administrative and organizational priorities to maintain accurate and accessible internal data on transaction status, project details, reporting metrics
  • Work with transaction leads to facilitate efficient progress of project and portfolio opportunities

What you’ll bring: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in project development, experience in renewables highly preferred 
  • 2+ years of experience with transactions and transaction documentation
  • Direct experience in either solar project permitting or solar project design engineering preferred 
  • Familiarity with issues impacting solar development lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Interest in learning about larger industry trends and coordinating with multiple groups within Nexamp (i.e. regulatory, capital markets, business development)
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
