8x8 are seeking a high-performing Channel Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships across our partner ecosystem. In this role, you will recruit, onboard, manage, and expand relationships with channel partners, including VARs, MSPs, agents, TSDs and distributors, with a focus on delivering high-impact joint go-to-market plans, pipeline acceleration, and partner enablement.  As a key part of the Channel team, the Channel Business Development Manager will be instrumental in building and scaling our channel partner ecosystem. This is a fantastic opportunity to come into a established vendor in Channel, who is driving success through our highly valued partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Channel Development & Activation: Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, including resellers, managed service providers (MSPs), and agent partners.

  • Channel Strategy Execution
    Develop and execute a territory/channel plan to identify and recruit high-potential partners. Align partner capabilities with 8x8’s value proposition to drive new revenue opportunities.

  • Partner Pipeline Growth
    Supported by your territory plan, have a strong funnel of early, mid and late stage partner prospects, ensuring a strong and predictable pipeline of partner opportunities.

  • Collaboration
    Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, sales engineering, partner success and product teams to deliver maximum value to partners and customers.

  • Partner Relationship Management
    Cultivate strong relationships with prospective partners. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring partners 

  • Onboarding, Enablement & Evangelism
    Support partners through their onboarding journey, taking them through the enablement at 8x8 for both sales and technical.
    Evangelise 8x8’s solutions and competitive differentiators. Represent the company at partner events, roadshows, and industry conferences.

  • Pipeline Development & Forecasting
    Drive partner-led pipeline and revenue. Monitor KPIs, provide accurate forecasts, and report on partner performance and deal progression using CRM and BI tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Channel Sales, Business Development, or a similar role, ideally in SaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS, or related technology sectors.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling a channel ecosystem in a new market.

  • Strong ability to recruit, onboard, and activate channel partners.

  • Experience working with resellers, VARs, MSPs, and strategic alliances.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and pipeline management.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close complex deals.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a high-growth environment.

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce and collaboration platforms like Google Workspace.
