We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Transformation team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Change Manager
The Change Manager will be responsible for delivering change management and communication efforts for the Risk Transformation Program and partner with stakeholders to transform risk practices and culture.
This role will involve contributing to and implementing a comprehensive change management and communications strategy, engaging stakeholders, assessing change impacts, and driving adoption and readiness for the program to achieve its target state.
12-month contract initially
We will count on you to:
- Contribute to the change management plan that includes include the change impact assessment approach, communications and training plan, documentation and recording working with the Senior Change Manager.
- Develop and consistently apply change management approaches.
- Ensure effective design, implement, and embed change management plans, including impact assessments, communication and training strategies, and documentation processes for accountability.
- Monitor change management progress, addressing and adapting as required to deliver outcome
- Ensure all change management activities are completed by the specified deadlines.
- Conduct thorough change impact assessments to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with the program. Develop mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Develop and deliver effective communication plans and training programs to ensure stakeholders are informed and equipped to embrace and adopt the changes. Tailor communication and training materials to different stakeholder groups.
- Develop change communications ensuring the needs of all senior stakeholders are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, senior leaders, project teams, and external partners, to ensure effective collaboration, support and delivery for the program to achieve milestones and outcomes.
What you need to have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional services organisation or professional customer services (ideal).
- Demonstrated experience as a senior change manager, leading change management efforts for large-scale transformation programs (must have).
- Demonstrated experience in cultural and organisational change programs (must have)
- Strong knowledge of change management methodologies, tools, and best practices (must have)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and drive effective decision-making
- Demonstrated senior stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work effectively across the organisation
- Self-motivation with initiative, energy and drive to succeed
