Job Description

Purpose of the role

To navigate the Bank / colleagues through a large and often complex payload of IT change, by facilitating the smooth implementation of Infrastructure and application / software changes, whilst minimising disruption to the Banks operations. 

Accountabilities

  • Assessment of the potential impacts to departments, colleagues and customers caused by the disruption of emerging technology changes and communicate key findings to those affected effectively.
  • Development of change management plans aligned to the bank's strategy to guide and inform stakeholders of the implementation, integration and effectiveness of change manage processes, and anticipate and address resistance/concerns to change.
  • Execution of training sessions and workshops throughout the change process to help colleagues understand and adopt new technological changes and address key concerns and troubleshooting issues.
  • Monitoring the progress of change initiatives against established objectives to adjust plans when required and support the mitigation of risk.
  • Execution of post-implementation evaluations to access the success of change initiatives and identify areas for improvement, and document lessons learnt from the change process for future initiatives.
  • Change rigour and visibility across Technology teams through stakeholder engagement and facilitation of collective reviews of Changes.

  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.

Join us as a Change Manager in the Central Team responsible for managing the change process. You will handle approvals and processes for all technology changes and serve as a key contact across the business. Your role involves reviewing change requests, understanding requirements and hosting various change related forums. As stakeholders will challenge you, it's crucial to learn quickly, have a strong challenge mindset, and be a confident speaker.

The future of change involves data science, AI, and machine learning to automate processes and further strengthen the underpinning controls. In this role, you will be a part of a team working on reviewing high risk implementations and helping towards developing new dashboards and driving continuous improvements across the banks process for change.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels – both orally and in writing.
  • Good working knowledge Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Skills

  •  ITIL foundation certificate - Preferred
  • Understanding of Incident, Problem and Change and Release processes.
  • Proven ability to work under own initiative

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills (e.g. proficient on excel reporting, data management, etc.)
